Some discovery

I just returned from Tom Bradley Airport in LA, saying bye to the last
group of our beloved friends who came here from Seoul for the reunion
of our 40 years anniversary. I found myself mixed with unexplainable
emotion, sort of a bittersweet feeling as if a bride’s father who just
finished his daughter’s wedding and saw the new couple go away. In a
nutshell, I had really numerous good memories, probably remain vividly
in my mind for my life.

I want to share with you some valuable lessons from this special event.
First, Pride in ourselves. Some of friends said they haven’t seen each
other last 40 years, their first encounter after graduation. But what
surprised us most is that we can ascertain that all of us have lived a
right life, a decent one surely everybody must envy of. Even if we
departed such a long time, I can feel and know that we all must have
worked hard and brilliantly so that we attain our goal and become a
respectful gentleman- 없어서는 안 될 사람. All of us have a virtue of
noble and genial, remain still quite pure and clean, the most boastful
aspect for the elders. Some guy made us surprised with his keen
memory, still remembering his friend’s number in the class.

Second, Congeniality: there is no doubt that we are one pure breed as
if the puppies of lion live as lion even though they live separately
in different area. When they encounter each other in spite of the long
lapse of times, they recognize immediately they are brothers, from the
same origin. I sensed that 인왕의 억센 바위 keep itself as a
unshakable rock, secured foundation even in difficulties and sustains
its identity. I take a pride in that we are Seoul Man, the invincible
Armada.

Third, Friendship. I come to a conclusion that friendship will become
deeper and stronger day by day. Our pleasant reunion is firmly based
on this sublime virtue. For the last 10 days we could exchange
heartfelt gratitude and really appreciate each other for being such a
friend, the nicest one in the world. We have many special events this
year in memory of 40 years anniversary. We are going to confirm and
enjoy for being together as a one pure species through out this
wonderful feast. Let’s toast for our life. We all should express our
warmest thanks to our leader Hyung Soon Chang, Moo Jin Chung and Dong
Soo Lee. IT WAS FUN.
