This gob smacking glacier is at least 3,000 years old, and probably even older. It stands at an astonishing 70 meters by four kilometers.

4. Easter Island, South Pacific
The nearby Easter Island is famous for these compelling moai statues known as ‘the Heads’. The average one weights 14 tons and stands at around 13 feet. But what are they for?

5. Llanquihue Lake, Chile’s Lake District
Llanquihue is only the second largest lake in the south of Chile, but it’s beauty ranks second to none, as you can see in this stunning photograph.

6. Salar de Atacama, south of San Pedro de Atacama
The largest salt flat in the country is also home to these lovely flamingos that reside in some of the small lakes that make up the area.

This fort, built by a nation called the atacameno people, was made a national monument as recently as 1982, but it's actually more than seven centuries old.
