A double rainbow over the Sydney Harbour Bridge,  the first day of Ramadan in Kuala Lumpur, swimming in the Mediterranean, refugees in Syria and Europe, a cheetah cub in Germany, the European Games in Azerbaijan, continued volcanic eruptions in North Sumatra, an unexpected pickup truck in Washington state, sorrow in Charleston, and much more.

Around 5,000 historical re-enactors will amass this evening to stage the 1st battle re-enactment, the 'French attack', in front of around 200,000 spectators from around the world. The event will mark the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. The 1815 battle saw the overthrow of Napoleon Bonaparte and the restoration of Louis XVIII to the French throne.
