최근 몇주에 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 간의 폭력 사태: Weeks of Violence Between Israelis and Palestinians

Several weeks ago, an eruption of new violence began across Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, fueled in part by disagreements and rumors about restricted access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Militant groups, including Hamas, have called for “Days of Rage,” encouraging a surge in face-to-face attacks. Palestinians have driven cars into crowds, stabbed Israelis, and assaulted soldiers. Many assailants have then been quickly shot by police or bystanders. At least eight Israelis and 42 Palestinians have been killed in street violence since October 1, according to Reuters. Israel has eased some gun laws, and many people are now arming themselves or renewing their gun licenses.
