This week we have images of Holi in India, a mine rescue in Ukraine, a public caning in Indonesia, Purim celebrations in London, Hawaii seen from orbit, the killing of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, a robotic traffic cop in Kinshasa, a Benjamin Netanyahu cupcake, and much more.

  • The erupting Villarrica volcano, 1,200 km from Santiago, in southern Chile, on March 3, 2015, forced the evacuation of some 3,000 people in nearby villages. The volcano, one of Chile's most active, began erupting around 3:00 am, prompting authorities to declare a red alert and cancel classes in schools, the National Emergency Office said.
