스펜서 튜닉의 세계: Photos of Spencer Tunick

Tunick was born in the United States in Middletown, Orange County, New York.
He is best known for his installations that feature large numbers of nude people posed in artistic formations.
These installations are often situated in urban locations throughout the world, although he has also done some "Beyond The City" woodland and beach installations and still does individuals and small groups occasionally. Tunick is the subject of three HBO documentaries, Naked States,[1] Naked World,[2] and Positively Naked.[3] His models are unpaid volunteers who receive a limited edition photo as compensation.

In 1986, he visited London, where he took photographs of a nude at a bus stop and of scores of nudes in Alleyn's School's Lower School Hall in DulwichSouthwark. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emerson College in 1988.
In 1992, Tunick began documenting live nudes in public locations in New York through video and photographs. His early works from this period focus more on a single nude individual or on small groups of nudes. These works are much more intimate images than the massive installations for which he is now known. By 1994 Tunick had organized and photographed over 65 temporary site related installations in the United States and abroad. Since then, he has taken his celebration of the nude form internationally, and has taken photos in cities that include Byron BayCorkDublinBrugesBuenos AiresBuffaloLisbonLondonLyonMelbourneMontrealRomeSan SebastiánSão PauloCaracasNewcastle/GatesheadViennaDüsseldorfHelsinkiSantiagoMexico CitySydney and Amsterdam. In August 1997, Tunick photographed a large group of nudes at The Great Went, a festival hosted by Phish in LimestoneMaine.

New York photographer Spencer Tunick, best known for staging photos with hundreds, often thousands of naked people in public settings, is planning his largest photo shoot ever this Sunday, May 6th in Mexico City (English translation). It will feature and estimated 6,000-9,000 naked Mexicans and take place in The Zócalo, Mexico City’s famous city square, which once was the center of the Aztec Empire.

Breaking his previous record, Spencer Tunick shot photos of over 18,000 naked people all in one place today at hismassive nude photo shoot at The Zócalo in Mexico City. Milenio has coverage of it (in Spanish), including a bunch of photos and Carlos Garcia has some great photos on Flickr

RICH, Switzerland (AP) -- Wanted: volunteers willing to take their clothes off and have their picture taken on a freezing cold Alpine glacier.
Thousands of people pose nude for photographer Spencer Tunick May 6 in Mexico City.
The appeal by New York artist Spencer Tunick, famous for taking pictures of thousands of naked people in public settings worldwide, is intended for a photo shoot to highlight the effects of climate change on Switzerland's shrinking glaciers, environmental group Greenpeace said on its Web site Wednesday.
Greenpeace said if global warming continues at its current pace, most Swiss glaciers will disappear by 2080.
The photo shoot, which follows Tunick's previous shoots in London, Mexico City and Amsterdam, will take place in August at an undisclosed location in Switzerland.
Prospective candidates from further afield will have to start making travel arrangements now.
"We aim to make this a climate friendly event, so please come by public transport and don't fly," Greenpeace said.
