1/2 : Princess Diana photos at her loveliest

그녀의 장례식은 전 세계에 방영되었는데 Elton John이 부른 추모곡인 "Candle in the wind"에서 그녀를 Goodbye England's Rose로 표현하였다.

Goodbye England's rose;
May you ever grow in our hearts.
You were the grace that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart.
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind:
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in.
And your footsteps will always fall here,
Along England's greenest hills;
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will.

Charles and Diana: Fairytale Romance Meets Reality
Charles and Diana: Fairytale Romance Meets Reality
It was hailed as the storybook marriage, a beautiful, modest young woman wed to the heir to the British throne. But in the 15 years they were married, Prince Charles and Princess Di went from the height of wedded bliss to the depths of a nasty divorce and mutual infidelities. On the way to its dissolution, their troubled relationship threatened the very institution of the monarchy. Played out in the media, the story of Charles and Di became a fairytale for the modern age -- but one with a tragic ending.
