집집마다 거리마다 아름다운 불빛과 장식과 트리로 보는 이들에게 즐거움과 기쁨을 선물하고 있다. 아쉬운 것은 주인공인 아기 예수는 점점 사라지고 들뜬 기분과 선물 공세와 이를 틈타고 있는 얄팍한 상혼이 많은 인간들의 마음을 빼앗아 가고 있는 점이다. 어렵고 가난하고 힘든 과부와 고아와 지극히 낮고 천한 곳에 있는 사람들을 주님의 사랑과 보살핌으로 돌보는 헌신의 마음이 절실히 필요한 시기이다.
